If the Magic Sing doesn't turn on:
-Press and hold the power button for about 2 seconds.

-On models with master power switch(ET19KV,ET18K,ET18KV,ET21KV) please make sure the switch is set to on("1") position before using the remote to turn the unit on.
-On the remote wireless mics: Please make sure that batteries are AA size. If the battery is low, Magic Sing may not work properly.
-Check if the AC adapter is properly connected to the
microphone(or the main station) and properly plugged into the AC outlet.
-See if the AC adapter is one that is originally provided by the
manufacturer. If it is not an OEM AC adapter it could cause damage to
the device.
-Using batteries with the AC adapter at the same time causes
battery leakage(on wired Magic Sings with battery compartments). Even though you do not see any
leakage in battery insert area, there will be a serious damage on the
circuit board. Please note that the battery leakage is not covered by
the manufacturer warranty.
-Remove all song chips from the chip slot. When a song chip is
inserted the wrong way or if a song chip is defective, microphone is
designed to stay off or turn off momentarily. Please make sure chips are inserted the correct
way(just match the arrows on top the chip to ones on the slot) and try
to turn the unit back on. If you have multiple chips and unit still
fails to turn on you may have a bad chip. In this case, you may want to
insert them one at a time to find the defective chip.
-Please make sure that the power is OFF when inserting or removing the song chip. Failure to do this could result in causing damage to the chip.
If vocal sounds delayed: -This is caused by certain type of digital TVs. To bypass this problem, please connect the audio out(white and red jacks) to a separate audio system and the video out(yellow jack) to the TV. This way the sound will come from the audio and the video will come from the TV bypassing the delay problem with digital TVs.
-It can also be caused by certain type of audio systems. Please make sure that surround sound mode is turned off for karaoke use. Use "direct" or "stereo" mode if possible to reduce delays and mic feedback(high pitch noise). Also make sure that only audio out from Magic Sing is connected to the audio system. Video out should be connected directly to the TV.
If you have no Video/Audio:
-Check your TV input. It must be on the input where your Magic Sing is connected(Video1, Video2, Input1, Input2, etc...)
-Make sure cables from the Magic Sing is connected properly with
all color coded RCA jacks into corresponding input jacks on the TV. You may have to check the TV manual to properly connect and switch a composite input.
-Try same connection with a different TV.
If the singer's voice can't be heard or the over all sound level is low:
-Turn the AVS/AVL(Automatic Volume Level) to "OFF" on the TV or the Audio system(if equipped).
-Raise the Mic Volume by following the instruction booklet.
-Lower the Music Volume and increase the Mic Volume by following the instruction booklet.
If you have distorted Video(Black and White stripes):
-This is caused by switching on the wrong TV color system mode. To toggle between the NTSC and the PAL systems:
To convert to PAL mode, turn off a wireless mic first. Press and hold
button “8” on the wireless mic, and then press “POWER” button using
another finger until the word “PAL” appears on the TV screen. (Do not
release button “8” and the “POWER” button until the word “PAL” appears
on the TV screen.) To convert to NTSC mode, turn off a wireless mic
first. Press and hold button “9” on the wireless mic, and then press the
“POWER” button using another finger until the word “NTSC” appears on
the TV screen. (Do not release button “9” and the “POWER” button until the word “NTSC” appears on the TV screen.)
To reset the Magic Sing(to solve common problems):
-If the Magic Sing behaves illogically(freezes, etc...) or if you want to reset to factory setting: For models with dual wireless mics: -Make sure that the power is "on" on the base unit so that you can see the Magic Sing start up screen on the TV, then:-Turn off one of the wireless mic, and then press and hold the “0” button
on the wireless mic, and press the [POWER] button using another finger
until the words “USER RESET” appear on the TV screen. (Do not release
the “0” button and the [POWER] button until the words “USER RESET”
appear on the TV screen). For models with single corded mic: -Turn off the power. Then press and hold the “0” button
on the wired mic, and press the [POWER] button using another finger
until the words “USER RESET” appear on the TV screen. (Do not release
the “0” button and the [POWER] button until the words “USER RESET”
appear on the TV screen). If a Magic Sing Song chip fails to work: -Please make sure that the power is OFF when inserting or removing the song chip. Failure to do this could result in causing damage to the chip. -Song chips must be inserted with the arrow on top of the chip pointing in the same direction as the one on the chip slot.
